This past week’s broker’s opens in Miami showcased 3 rather unique and unusual properties… Each have been listed by top EWM colleagues of ours. Nothing is cookie cutter about any one of them … And since there’s plenty to spark one’s imagination … and since (as Realtors) we do play matchmaker, this week was fun.
Here are the three that caught our eye:
1) Listed for $1,795,000, Leslie Jones and Margaret Del Valle have a 5 bedroom 3.5 bath New England Style estate on 4960 Sunset Drive which was built in 1938 … This one took me back in time. It’s a 4,250 square feet house, nestled into a builder’s acre, and it abuts Sunset Elementary school (to the east). This house is an historic canvas which could be turned into an masterpiece… as grandiose as one’s imagination might allow.
2) Priced virtually the same as the first house is a one listed by Ashley Cusack… a sprawling 5874 square foot Ponce Davis home … This one too transported me to another place in time … with it’s woodsy, cabin-like feel.
It was staged by Marisa Salas of Showhomes and is listed for $1,790,000. This 6 bedroom/5 bath home on 8755 SW 52 Avenue is set on 3/4 of an acre … It was built in 1977 and has been updated since then … It’s another example of the out-of-the-ordinary… a non-cookie-cutter Miami hide-away. Within a stone’s throw of Gulliver Academy … it feels world’s away from the Miami that typically comes to mind.
3) Another surprise this past week was a newer-built home in a section of High Pines that tends toward small-ish lots and quaint properties.
This 4,188 square foot 3 bedroom 2.5 bath house is looms larger than the neighboring homes, and is tucked away behind foliage on a 12,500 foot lot at 7277 SW 53 Ct … It’s an elegant 2006 built construction with high-end finishes … Audrey Ross has it listed at $1,648,000. And this one is move-in ready.
What each of these three homes share is a similar price point.
From there, the only real thing that these three homes have in common is that they stand out as being different from one another, and unique.
You’re comparing one era to another … one location to another … one sprawling, expansive labyrinth to something with a much more compact ‘feel’… one well-defined, cultivated tropical ‘garden’ to a wide-open expanse of oak-laden grounds … one move-in-ready gem as contrasted with a blank slate (limited only by one’s creative genius!) and just waiting to be turned into a masterpiece.
What we do as Realtors … has a lot to do with matchmaking.
