IF YOU’VE EVER TOUCHED AN ELECTRICAL LIGHTSWITCH, AND FOUND IT TO BE WARM, READ ON…
1) MIGHT BE A DESIGN FLAW: TOO MANY FIXTURES ON A SINGLE SWITCH PLATE WILL OVERLOAD THE SYSTEM.
2) LOOSE WIRING INSIDE COULD CAUSE THE LIGHTSWITCH TO HEAT UP AS ADDITIONAL CURRENT IS NEEDED TO PROVIDE THE NECESSARY ELECTRICITY.
3) THE WATTAGE/VOLTAGE OF THE LIGHTS (ESPECIALLY HIGH-HATS) MAY EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED AMOUNT, OVERLOADING THE SYSTEM.
ANY OF THESE CAN POSE A FIRE HAZARD… AND THEY ARE EASILY CORRECTED.
