The Village of Pinecrest has a history… abeit brief. Once there were snakes … Now there are Realtors.
For literally decades, Miami was home to the Miami Serpentarium. King cobras. Green mambas. Palm vipers. Almost every deadly snake known to man.
Miami Snakeman, Bill Haast, enticed tourists to South Florida with his jaw dropping snake shows.
Subjecting himself to venomous bites, extracting and injecting himself with venom… he spent his life trying to prove that poisonous snake venom held the cure to diseases like multiple sclerosis, lupus, arthritis and Parkinson’s disease. His Serpentarium was a local Miami attraction.
Today Esslinger,Wooten Maxwell occupies the space that was once a snake pit. The Serpentarium closed in 1984 and it became home to EWM Realtors. Ironic, isn’t it …. especially given the reputation Realtors have? I work there… in what was the former Serpentarium … A snake pit is now home to some of the top Realtors in the country – EWM Realtors – and the Restivo Team. EWM… at the corner of US1 and SW 128th Street in Pinecrest.
EWM Realtors took over, replacing the Serpentarium…. The snakes have gone … My offices are there where the Serpentarium was… and if you’re looking for a top Realtor … please call or stop by! 305 793-1365
