The men’s and women’s tennis teams from the University of Miami gave Royal Palm Tennis Club Members and guests a taste of collegiate tennis.
You may have been playing SOCIAL TENNIS, but each you remarkable UM Tennis Players (the 16 of you who royally honored Royal Palm by playing with us Saturday morning) gave us a taste of tennis at a level none of us are accustomed to playing … and it was fabulous.
One of the perks many college towns offers the people who live nearby: Sports … and enthusiasm!
College sports seems to open doors to the community … linking the ‘outside world’ to the University (and vice versa) … and it’s great for those of us who live within reach.
I really wanted to thank you to each and every one of the UM Tennis Team (and your coaches!) for coming and kicking our weekend club level tennis up a notch or two… Amazing!
Probably THE most inexpensive family activity around: College Sports Events! Whatever the sport, tickets are a bargain.
The U of M Tennis Season starts again at home on January 28th, 2012 … and community access to the matches is free to the public. Looking forward to seeing you hit the ball the way you really play … and so glad you didn’t hit it that hard to us …
