According to a survey by Pew Research Center, half of Americans say they use a social networking site (like Facebook or Linked In). Only 5% of Americans used these sites six years ago!
Women aged 18-29 use social networking the most, with 69% saying they use it on a daily basis. However, young adults are still more likely to use a social networking site daily than adults. 51% of adults 50-64 say they use social networking sites, as compared to 89% of adults aged 18-29.
