Looking for something fun to do this weekend in Miami? The 2011 Miami Renaissance Festival …
Miami hadn’t had a Renaissance Festival in five LONG years … ’til last year. Miami will host the Renaissance Festival again this weekend from January 15-23, 2011… It is open Saturdays and Sundays (as well as on Monday January 17th for Martin Luther King Day).
Years ago, the backdrop of the Renaissance Festival was Vizcaya – which was an absolutely spectacular setting!
This winter (if you can call it that in Miami!) the Renaissance Festival will be held on Historic Virginia Key Beach Park on Key Biscayne… MIAMI: January 15-23. (Then at Deerfield Beach: February 12 – March 13).
Open weekends – 10am to sunset – the entrance fee will run $20 for adults … $7 for kids aged 6-11 … ( for children younger than age 6, entrance is free). For more information and tickets: Ren-fest.com .
Costumed performers, historical re-enactments, jousting tournatments, sword fights, human chess games, rides, games, booths, magical illusions, keepsakes, and hearty fare (kettle corn, roasted turkey legs, beer…) It’s fun!
