As of March 26, 2011, there are new water restrictions in place. South Florida has had an unusually dry dry season and these restrictions will help keep water usage to a minimum.

Landscape irrigation is limited to two times a week, on certain days and at certain times. Any odd numbered home or business may water on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 12 am to 10 am or from 4 pm to 11:59 pm. Any even numbered house may water on Thursdays and Sundays from 12 am to 10 am or from 4 pm to 11:59 pm. No watering is allowed from 10 am to 4 pm.

The restrictions apply to all sources of water, including wells. You may wash cars and boats, so long as they are washed using a water conserving nozzle attached to the hose and it’s washed over a non-paved, grassy or pourous area.
