for a court hearing… and were on standby, all afternoon… as expert witnesses.
As Real Estate Experts, we regularly compile a market analysis of relevant property sales, anytime we list or sell real estate. We include properties that recently went under contract and/or sold … as well as those currently listed… in order to determine an appropriate ‘offering price’ for buyers looking to invest real estate.
I was surprised that the courts now request CMA’s from Realtors though…as opposed to requesting an appraisal through an appraiser… and surprised that expert witness testimony was something done (standby) via phone these days. Times…. they-are-a-changing!
Glad the phone didn’t ring while I was driving on the highway, racing through Miami International Airport, overseeing a home inspection, consulting with a roofer, or negotiating a sales contract that day. Would have been less chaotic just being called in to court as an expert witness …
