Drive-In Movies Come to Miami

Drive-In movies are no longer a thing of the past. Beginning September 18,  Blue Starlite Mini-Urban Drive In in Wynwood will feature movies, a concession stand and window speakers. There is a reserved seating area with 10 reserved tables and up to 20 cars will be allowed per show.

Prices vary, but reserved ticket packages run from $25-$60. The theater is located at  90 NW 29th St, next to O Cinema. The Grand Opening isn’t until October 9, but there are pre-screenings beginning the 18th of September.

The Pre-Screening schedule is as follows:

  • Sept. 18 at 8:30 pm –  ‘Pretty in Pink’
  • Sept. 19 at 8:30 pm – ‘Fast Times at Ridgemont High’ and ‘The Wild Life’
  • Sept. 20 at 8:30 pm – ‘The Princess Bride’
  • Sept. 21 at 8:30 pm – ‘Grease’

The schedule after opening is as follows:

  • Oct. 9 at 8 pm – ‘Moon Over Miami’
  • Oct. 10 at 8 pm – ‘American Graffiti’
  • Oct. 11 at 7:45 pm – ‘Back to the Future’
  • Oct. 12 at 7:45 pm – ‘The Goonies’
  • Oct. 17 at 7:45 pm – ‘The Birds’

Just in time for Miami’s “fall” weather, the Drive-In Theater is great for a night out with friends or for date night. Get out and enjoy this new addition to Wynwood.
