On Sunday March 27, the Seafood Festival returns to Deering Bay for it’s 7th year . From 11 am to 6 pm, come out and try recipes from local restaurants and local celebrity chefs like Chef Sean Bernal from Sushi Samba, Chef Tricia Ferguson (co-author of Lionfish Cookbook) and Chef Houvens Jean from SAWA Village of Merrick Park. Students from Johnson & Wales’ culinary studies will work with the chefs to offer their assistance in food preparation.
Local restaurants like Whole Foods Market, Shibui Japanese Restaurant, Black Point Ocean Grill, Miller Alehouse, Sports Grill, Paella Party and Imlee Indian Bistro will offer an assortment of fresh catch, such as shrimp egg rolls, grilled dolphin, blue crabs, lobster and fried conch.
The Deering Estate is located at 16701 SW 72 Ave. Tickets are $15 in advance / $20 at the gate. For children aged 4-14, admission is $5.
