In the 1870’s, pioneers William and Mary Brickell maintained a trading outpost in the area that has now become today’s Brickell. In their trading outpost days, Mary envisioned luxurious waterfront estates… which were built… but have since pretty much given way to a new face of Brickell : highrise office towers and luxury condominiums. Brickell has become quite a different picture in recent years.
Coined “Millionaire’s Row”, the area is now both sought after and prestigious… the Brickell skyline changing and morphing as new highrise towers replace grandiose mansions. Brickell has become a main center of trade and commerce for Miami, and for international business.
Brickell residents are steps from the office, and within minutes of either South Beach or the Miami International Airport.
Between 2001 and 2005 over 4,000 new buildings were built, making the Brickell skyline one of the most famous in the world. Brickell residents have breathtaking views of Miami, Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach, Coconut Grove and Key Biscayne. Miami is at your fingertips…the Miami Heat plays at the American Airlines arena only a couple of minutes away from Brickell and the Miami Dolphins and Florida Marlins play at Dolphin Stadium just about 20 minutes north.
Continuously growning, Brickell is a nouveau chic place to be. Near to Downtown Miami and Brickell Key, Brickell is a city in and of itself, with banks, businesses, shops, restaurants and condos… and spectacular views of the Bay and Miami River. Brickell has quickly become a bubbling metropolitan area… and is Miami’s beautiful skyline!
Mary Brickell Village offers restaurants, shopping and nightlife… Rosa Mexicano and Blue Martini…Miami’s new place to be and be seen.
Brickell Key… a small island off Brickell, offers upscale condos and hotels, and is accessible by bridge. Buying or selling in Brickell? Please send us a note here, or call 305 793-1365 or 305 632-0164.
